This weekend I am having a $5-$10 off Sale on all of my Cowl's, Scarf's, and Beanies (that are not already in the sale items list).

I haven't been as productful in my knitting as I would have hoped in the last couple days, but I did do some amazing work on my back yard!  I realized when I got done I should have taken before & after pictures!  I pulled out my dead tomato plants, weeded the garden area, cleaned up the dead leaves in the yard, and swept the entire patio area!  My backyard looks amazing again!

Green slouching beanie

I got to spend last weekend in Boulder with my Mr. Awesome!  I loved it soo much!  I did not want to come back to Orange County!

This is the crick that runs through (I think, or close to) the whole city!  Mr. A and I spent quite a bit of time hanging out and reading by this crick over the weekend.  It's really close to his place too, which was even more awesome!

I love that there is wildlife everywhere!  This cute lil squirrel was practically eating out of hands!  Then these deer came running through the complex!  There were 4 bucks, and a doe, it was really awesome!

Then for our monthly anniversary we went on a really awesome drive in the mountains, and stopped by the river and had a picnic, which was awesome!  We watched fish in the river, and some random guys fly fishing near us!  Oh yeah and us sporting the beanies!  Although they are definitely not fit for a full blown Colorado winter...they were perfect for fall!

I'm soo excited to go back at the end of the month!

I can't believe it's already MONDAY!  where did my weekend go?  It went to waking up at 4am to work at the coffee shop, and then the rest of both days "napping" and being lazy. 

I'm not sure if it's just me being lazy, or if I can truly claim to be over doing things, and maybe just maybe pushing myself a little hard.  Honestly I think it's a combo.  I've worked more before, but still, it has to all catch up sometime.

I have 10 days until the big trip to Boulder to see my Mr. Awesome, and his boxers are only about half way done, lol, and I have a feeling I should stop now, and just start over.  They seem a lil "big" as in they would fit me, and he is about 10" small in the waist than I!  Especially with the yarn I'm using, it has a lot of stretch to it, I need to make them almost to small, lol, wouldn't want them falling off! ;)

I did finish an awesome beanie for his roommate. (i know, i know, i need pictures!  but i usually blog while i'm at work, and my camera is sitting at home on my desk!)  His roommate said "i have an abnorally large head"....i'm not sure what that means!  So I made a "large" beanie, I hope he was exaggerating, or maybe is just unsure what a normal size head is for a guy...I suppose we will find out!  I'm considering making a 2nd beanie for him....just in case?!

I had a coworker request that I make a scarf for his girlfriend, that's kind of cool! 

I also have 2 finished beanies that I have yet to take pictures of so I can post them on Etsy. 

Tonight...sooo many things to do tonight!  I have to clean my bathroom, because my other roommae is officially moving in next weekend, so I have to make room for her things, I need to finally get some darn pictures taken, I need to work on the boxers, possibly get more yarn for them, I need to buy a skien of tan or toupe Paton's Grace to make another beanie for Mr. A, oh, and finish up some homework that's due tomorrow night! 

Oh to sneak in a nap too, that would be perfect!  In all reality, tonight i'll be lucky to get the bathroom clean and work on the boxers while watching the new episode of Raising the Bar, and finish up my homework.

Alright so today I was stumbling around and found this site sounds like a great way to use all of my extra bits of yarn that just aren't enough for another beanie, or for hand warmers!  For the most part I've been knitting quite a bit lately.  This weekend was the exception.  This weekend I opened at the coffee shop on Saturday(5am) and Sunday(5:30am)! So after work I ended up sleeping most of the weekend away, and barely touched my knitting.  The knitting I did do...lol, not actually productive!  I practiced my working in the round (something I generally despise), working with double pointed needles, and perfected my increases, both with a right and left slant.

My roommate has started knitting with me.  She is quite the natural!  After a 5 minute review (her grandmother showed her years ago) she made a 10in swatch of different stitches, then started on a beanie!  She's made 2 of the now, and they are awesome!  lol, they are the quality of the ones I have been making!  So that's pretty exciting.

My Mr. Awesome will be returning from his 5 weeks in Europe tomorrow night...I'm sooo excited!  I still have some cleaning around the house to get done tonight, and some things in my room that I don't have a clue what to do with yet!

Good Times!

I'm stuck at work and bored to death! 

I have a sudden urge to knit.  I haven't knitted in the last 2 weeks.
Monday night I feel asleep on my bed sitting with my Aunt's knitting books.
Tuesday night (last night) I feel asleep on my bed after going through combining my Aunt's needle collection with mine.

Tonight...I will knit!

I'm ready for my Mr. Awesome to come home. 
I don't want to wait another 13days...I want it now!

I want my kitty to start sleeping on my bed again.
Since I moved she hasn't, I miss that.
Monday night she curled up with my roommate the way she used to with me...it made me kind of sad.
My kitty is upset with me because I got a new bed frame, and now she can not hide under my bed.
Gizmo has been more friendly with me than usual, that's a good thing.

I kind of went on a spending spree lately.
My new bed frame, I ordered $60 worth of yarn today, I ordered a new suit (on clearance for 1/3 of the normal price), I ordered (and already received) a new cat tower.
I need to STOP spending money for a while.
